Steve Kartholl has over twenty five years
experience in all aspects of the television and broadcast video business.
On weekends you'll find Steve at various race tracks around the world from
Monza to Talladega. His work regularly appears on the Speed Channel, CBS
Sports, FOX, NBC Sports, ESPN, ESPN2 and other networks and cable channels.
Steve got his start in television in 1971
and in 1973 became the newscast director at a network affiliate in Fort
Wayne, Indiana. After a stint as production manager at WDBO Orlando in
1981, Kartholl co-owned several production facilities including Image
Resources, Orlando's largest production facility. In 1990 Kartholl decided
to pursue the end of the video business he loved the most, behind the camera
covering his favorite subject material,
motorsports.
Over the last dozen years he has shot virtually every type of auto racing
event and is considered one of the foremost racing photographers on the
planet. In addition, Steve shoots hydroplanes, air races, water ski and
wakeboard events, golf, plus a host of other projects including commercial
and industrial presentations.
When he's not shooting cars, you can find
Steve traipsing Northern California's vineyards tasting wine or playing
golf.
